1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Toolumen ("Toolumen", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit toolumen.com and use our tools. Toolumen is a product operated by Stacklumen. By using Toolumen you agree to the practices described here.

Toolumen is browser-first: most of our tools run entirely in your browser, and the files you process with them are never uploaded to our servers. This policy describes both that local-first model and the limited cases where data does reach us or our service providers.

2. Who we are

Toolumen is a collection of small, focused web tools — including our SEO + AEO Audit, Open Graph Preview, Contrast Checker, HEIC Converter, and PNG to SVG Vectorizer — available at toolumen.com. Toolumen is built and operated by Stacklumen. References to "we" throughout this policy mean Stacklumen acting as the operator of Toolumen.

3. What we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. When you create an account or sign in, our authentication provider Clerk handles your credentials and stores basic profile data such as your name and email address.
• Billing information. When you subscribe to a paid plan (Basic, Premium, or Elite), payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and stores your payment card details — we never see or store your full card number. We retain a record of your subscription status, plan, and billing history.
• Usage and analytics. We collect information about how you interact with the site, such as pages visited, tools used, device and browser type, and general diagnostic data, to operate and improve Toolumen.
• Information you submit through forms. When you fill in any form on the site — for example contact, support, tool requests, sign-up, sign-in, or checkout — we collect the information you provide.

4. Marketing data collection

Please read this section carefully. Whenever you submit ANY form anywhere on the Toolumen site — including but not limited to our contact form, support form, tool-request form, sign-up or sign-in forms, checkout, or any other form we may add — we collect the information you submit and use it for MARKETING purposes.

This means that any details you enter into a form on Toolumen (such as your name, email address, company, message content, and any other information you provide) may be used by us for:

• Direct outreach and communications from Toolumen and Stacklumen;
• Product marketing and promotional messaging;
• Building and segmenting marketing audiences; and
• Analysis to better understand and target our users.

There is no form on the Toolumen site that is exempt from this. If you submit a form, assume the information will be used for marketing as described above. If you do not want your information used for marketing, do not submit it through our forms.

5. Browser-first processing

Most Toolumen tools process your files entirely within your browser. For these tools — including the Contrast Checker, HEIC Converter, and the in-browser PNG to SVG Vectorizer — your files never leave your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

There are a few exceptions where data is sent to a server in order to deliver the feature you requested:

• SEO + AEO Audit and Open Graph Preview fetch the URL you provide so we can analyze the page at that address.
• The Elite vectorize API receives the PNG images you POST to it so they can be processed server-side and returned as SVGs.

Outside of these named exceptions, the contents of the files you work with stay in your browser.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, and analytics. For details on the specific cookies we use and how to manage them, see our Cookie Policy.

7. Third parties and subprocessors

We rely on a small set of trusted service providers to operate Toolumen. These subprocessors process data on our behalf:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• Stripe — payment processing and billing.
• Cloudflare / Webflow Cloud — hosting and content delivery.

Each of these providers maintains its own privacy and security practices governing the data it handles for us.

8. Data retention

We retain account, billing, and form-submission data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Usage and analytics data is retained for as long as it remains useful for operating and improving Toolumen. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. 10. Security

11. Children

Toolumen is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

12. International transfers

Toolumen is operated using infrastructure and service providers that may store and process data in countries other than your own. By using Toolumen, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws than those in your country.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Toolumen after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. This policy works alongside our Terms of Service.
