Toolumen offers paid plans — Basic at $19.99/month, Premium at $39.99/month, and Elite at $99/month — billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. When you subscribe, you are charged immediately for the first month, and your subscription renews automatically at the start of each subsequent billing period until you cancel.
Each renewal charge covers the upcoming month of access. You can review your current plan and billing history at any time from your account page, and you can compare plans on the pricing page.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Open the Stripe billing portal, which is linked from your account page and from the pricing page, and select the option to cancel your plan.
When you cancel, your subscription remains active and you keep full access to your plan's features until the end of the current paid billing period. We do not bill you again after that period ends, and your plan simply lapses at the end of the cycle you have already paid for. Cancelling does not trigger an immediate loss of access.
Because access continues through the end of each paid period, we do not automatically issue prorated refunds for the unused portion of a month after you cancel. When you cancel mid-cycle, you keep your access until the period you already paid for runs out, rather than receiving a partial refund.
That said, we want billing to feel fair. If you were charged in error, charged accidentally, or experienced a genuine billing problem, please contact us within a reasonable window — generally 14 days of the charge — and we will review your situation. Where appropriate, we may issue a full or partial refund at our discretion.
The Elite plan includes metered, per-call API usage that may incur overage charges when your usage exceeds the plan's included allowance. These overage charges are billed based on actual usage that has already been served.
Because overage is metered and consumed in real time, API overage charges are non-refundable once incurred. We recommend monitoring your usage from your account page to avoid unexpected overage on the Elite plan.
If a renewal payment fails — for example, because a card has expired or been declined — Stripe will attempt to retry the charge over a short period. During this time your account may be marked past-due, and we may email you to ask you to update your payment method.
You can update your card and settle any outstanding balance through the Stripe billing portal linked from your account page. If a payment remains unresolved after our retry attempts, we may suspend or downgrade your access until the balance is paid. Restoring a valid payment method generally restores access promptly.
